BMRC Former Fellows Reunion

The Black Metropolis Research Consortium invites Former Fellows and guests to participate in the 2018 Former Fellows Reunion and National Gathering of African American Studies Scholars.

Through generous support from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, the one day Reunion and Symposium will be held in Indianapolis, Indiana on Saturday, October 6, 2018 in concurrence with the Association for the Study of African American Life and History’s (ASALH) Annual Meeting (October 3-7, 2018).

The Reunion and Symposium will consist of speakers, panels, and opportunities for former Fellows to reengage with each other, as well as invited guests from a variety of disciplines interested in research and scholarship on the African American experience. Additionally, participants will be asked to assess their experiences as former Fellows and contribute ideas for the sustainability and success of the Summer Short-term Fellowship.

Attendees will enjoy complimentary registration, breakfast and lunch.
