The Book Circle records
The Book Circle was a reading group organized by African-American women on the South Side of Chicago to “boost morale” during World War II. The group continued to meet on a monthly basis over the next fifty years. The collection includes meeting minutes, photographs, scrapbooks, and constitutions.
Chicago Renaissance: A Festival Celebrating African American Art
The collection consists of photographs, newspapers, memorabilia such as post cards, flyers and posters; administrative papers, and correspondence regarding the development of the Chicago Renaissance Art Festivals.
Faculty Governance
The Faculty Governance record group covers the activities of the CSU Faculty Senate and other related organizations. The CSU Faculty Senate is charged with presenting faculty issues and recommendations to the University on all matters affecting the academic functions of the University and the general welfare of the University.
Fritz Veit Papers

Steven Balkin Maxwell Street, Chicago Collection
Steven Balkin is a Professor of Economics at Roosevelt University. He is a member of the Maxwell Street Foundation, formerly known as the Maxwell Street Historic Preservation Coalition. Beginning in the mid-90s, Balkin began assembling materials related to the history of the Maxwell Street Market and neighborhood, including blues heritage, architecture, and community groups.
Walter P. and Ruth G. Trost Collection
Walter P. Trost was professor of biology at CSU as well as an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ. He operated the Mawali school in Ho, Ghana, for many years.
