Aldis Family papers
Arthur Taylor Aldis was a Wyoming rancher from 1885 to 1889 and a Chicago realtor from 1890 to 1935. The collection consists of correspondence, reports, proceedings, minutes, by-laws, questionnaires, petitions, speeches, clippings, and published material of Aldis and Company, specialists in the management, renting, and appraisal of central property and office buildings.
Ethel Ina Untermyer papers
Ethel Ina Untermyer (1925 – 2009) was a deaf education advocate, social reformer, poet, and the leader in the quest to found a forest preserve district in Lake County. Untermyer (nee Kotal) was born in Chicago in 1925. She moved to Lake County with her husband and children in the mid-1950s. In 1957, Untermyer organized a countywide referendum to create

This collection contains records of the University of Chicago Office of the President, covering the administration of Lawrence A. Kimpton, who served as Chancellor of the University of Chicago from 1951-1960. While he kept the title of "Chancellor" held by his predecessor, Robert Maynard Hutchins, Kimpton’s duties were consistent with those held throughout the institution’s history by the University President.
