Michael Reese Nurses Alumnae Association collection of visual materials

Founded in 1881 by the United Hebrew Relief Association, Michael Reese Hospital’s first mission was to provide healthcare to immigrants. A bequest by Michael Reese (1817-1878), a German Jewish immigrant, gave the UHRA the funding needed to establish the hospital.
