Topics include the formation of auxiliary societies, importance of suppressing the slave trade, African settlements, fund-raising, and captured Africans recommended to the attention of the society after they have been discharged from the U.S. Correspondents include Dr. Eli Ayres, E. Bacon, Elias B. Caldwell, Ralph Randolph Gurley, Harry D. (or Henry) Hunter, Francis S. Key, Joseph King, J. Macaulay, John Mason, the Hon. Smith Thompson, and Thomas Tyson.
