Various items of Chouteau mainly regarding financial matters. Includes: Letter written in St. Louis to Mr. and Mrs. Pierre Menard, Kaskaskia; personal matters; also mentions the sale of land near Fort Chartres (1807 September 26, Autograph letter signed, 2 pages); St. Louis. Document of sale of a racially mixed woman by Pelagie Chouteau to Pierre Chouteau, document signed by S. Labbadie, witnessed by M. P. Leduc and Sarpy, on March 11, 1819, Pierre Chouteau recorded on the same document, the sale of the same woman to Genevieve Beauvais, witnessed by Leduc (1809 June 13 and 1819 March 11, Document signed, 2 pages); St. Louis. Receipt for $400 to Baptiste Vallé and Pierre Menard, paying for lead removed from Chouteau's land; signed by Chouteau (1816 May 16, Document signed, 1 page).
