Items relating to John Ragland, his family and his career, ca. 1917 to 1970's, working for the betterment of African Americans, economically and socially, in Ohio, in Chicago, in the U.S. Army during World War II; and as executive director of the South Central Association (Chicago). Also includes materials relating to his son, Albert Ragland while serving as executive director of the Chicago Conference on Religion and Race, 1971-1974(?).
