Biographical/Historical note
Emil Jones, Jr. has had a long career in Illinois politics, first on the 1960 John F. Kennedy presidential campaign, followed by working with a Chicago alderman and work as a sewer inspector. He was elected to the Illinois General Assembly in 1973, serving in the Illinois House of Representatives until 1983. During his time as a State Representative, Jones was Chairman of the Insurance Committee and Assistant Democratic Leader. In 1983, Jones was elected to the Illinois State Senate, and served until early 2009.

Collection consisting of a blue cap, one crystal paper weight, papers & black and white pictures in frames of CSU Life. Bulk of collection has not been accessioned.
