Melvin T. Tracht was V.P. for Business Operations and Treasurer of Illinois Institute of Technology from the mid to late 1970s.
Scope and Contents note
Appears to be the papers of Melvin T. Tracht Papers in his role as Chief Financial Officer of the Illinois Institute of Technology. The bulk of the collection is budget material, some of which may be duplicated in multiple folders. Two folders concern student activism from 1968-1972, including material related to Black Student Organization and Students for a Democratic Society meetings held on campus concerning IIT's relationship with the surrounding community and interest in the development of a Black Studies curriculum.
