Historical note
Initiated in 2006, The Loyola University Chicago Oral History Project is documenting the history of Loyola University Chicago through oral history interviews of administrators, staff, faculty, and alumni. Administration, faculty, staff, and alumni were interviewed about their experiences at the John Felice Rome Center as part of the project.
Scope and Contents note
The collection consists of audio recordings of oral history interviews, many accompanied by typed transcripts. One interview is with Elizabeth Jackson Hall, a student at the Rome Center from 1968 - 1969, concerns her reception in Rome as an African American student.

This collection was surveyed as part of the Black Metropolis Research Consortium's Survey Initiative on 2011 March 1 by Andrew Steadham.
