Account book (1818-1841) of two plantations in Buckingham (now Appomattox) County, Virginia, owned by Thomas Trent, a Quaker. Entries document the cultivation of tobacco, wheat, oats, and corn by fourteen or more slaves, some hired out to neighboring plantations.
