The collection mainly comprises correspondence and promotional literature such as pamphlets and newsletters from precursor organizations to the CCDBR, organizations affiliated with the CCDBR, as well as the CCDBR and its two executive directors.

The collection also contains demographic data on communities in Chicago and the metropolitan area. The
