HIstorical Note
The Norshore Twelve, Inc. was a social and civic club in Chicagoland's North Shore region. The club was devoted to community improvement through civic engagement, public service, fundraising endeavors, and social events such as the Norshore Debutante Cotillion. They worked closely with Evanston organizations like the local Evanston NAACP chapter, Community Hospital of Evanston, Foster Center, Child Care Center, and Boy Scouts Troop 30. Taking its name from the truncation of their geographical location and the fixed number of members, Norshore Twelve, Inc. was formed in 1950 and remained active until 1981.
