The press releases cover civil rights activities, court decisions, legislation, United Nations news, music reviews, reports on black colleges and churches, and several obituaries, including a tribute to C.C. Spaulding. Articles report on Adam Clayton Powell, John F. Kennedy, and on Harry Truman's farewell address.
